#12: Renew yourself

I used to think many a time why elders in the family are resistant to renewing themselves or refreshing them with what they want or wish to have. Elders in the family like Parents or Grandparents always think of their children or grandchildren many times. They are not even ready to spend a few bucks to renew themselves. Be it buying a dress they like with a little extra cost, a haircut, or some extra stuff they want to do for their soul satisfaction.

Do we need to sacrifice everything including the renewal of oneself or refreshing the mind for the sake of Children or Grandchildren?

It is not really required and let us live our lives on at least a few occasions. However, we want to live without thinking of others or any family members, obviously without destroying morals.

I had a chance to take my mother out to a hotel alone when she visited Bengaluru this Summer. But she really had a concern for her Grandchildren who visited my home along with her. I have never seen my mom fulfill any wishes of her own since my childhood. 

I have seen many mothers or fathers like her, who always think of their Children or Grandchildren only without even spending a small amount on their wishes. 

I was also unknowingly doing the same. I avoided spending a few bucks to spend for my own wish many times thinking that it is too costly, and this money can be used for family or kids. Today I broke the barrier of myself and had a haircut look which helped me to renew myself. It not only helped me to renew my look and feel but also helped to renew my confidence level as well.

 

Dear Readers,

Never ever ignore renewing yourself whenever you get a chance for money. Even if you do not get a chance very frequently to renew yourself, grab the opportunity to renew yourself by haircut, travel, food, dressing, friends, thoughts, etc.

Let us dare to live our own lives in the way we want or wish to, at least occasionally.
