Experiences of learning adoption and Implementation in real
Every situation provides us an opportunity to learn and grow day in, and day out.
Somehow I gained the trust to get nominated by the director for a wonderful training program, especially for women's leadership within 10 months of timeframe in the new organization.
Fortunately, I have had a chance to attend the WINGS (Women In Gaming) Women Leadership Training program by my company Light & Wonder.
The Trainer who might be 60+ years old shared amazing experiences of her own life while teaching us strategic networking, work-life balance, personal branding, etc.
A two-day full-day ground working training program taught me a lot of things. Actual learning starts not at the training to be frank. It is how we implement the lessons learned in day-to-day life and get more benefits.

Here are some of my experiences of implementation of my learning post the classroom training from the next day:
Day 1:
Strategic Network:
Before the classroom training on WINGS -
I used to just click the connect link on LinkedIn to add them to my network. Some may accept and many usually won't respond.
After the classroom training on WINGS -
Scenario 1:
I started introducing myself in 2 to 3 lines before requesting to connect, like what is my full name, I belong to which company, working on which project and what is my role in that project. Along with that, I used to say that I was interested in following their posts.
To my surprise, I have got responses from 5 people on LinkedIn for my message.
CEO of the company didn't accept my request for the last 4 months. However after sending my intro with a short message, he accepted my request to connect on LinkedIn.
Scenario 2:
There is a contest for 'strike a pose' related to the Women's Day celebration.
I have posted my pose along with a blog I have written on InspireInclusion in Yammer which is an intranet website.
Whoever gets more likes for the comments, will be announced as winners in that contest.
I was having very less likes around 47.
I have pinged various team people in the organization who are specifically active on the Yammer forum and introduced myself in Teams chat and asked them to check my post and give a thumbs up to support InspireInclusion.
Likes count is increased to 109 with this from 47 in one day.
I have tried to connect with around 200 people who are not working with me closely and 95% of them are completely new to me and I am also new to them. But got a response from 60 people which is a great achievement.
In conclusion, I was able to grow my network by using a strategic network concept and got visibility within the organization with few more people other than my own team.
Finally, I broke my hesitation to reach out to the people whom I am not aware of in my own organization.
Do you all agree that hesitation is the hurdle to the growth of our own?
Let's break it and make a better version of us.
