Inspire Inclusion
As all
we know, International Women's Day is celebrated across the world on the 8th of
March every year.
We do
wish women at the workplace, and some wish their mom, grandmother, aunt, and
sisters too at the family on that day. Women feel happy and feel so special on
that day without any doubt.
But do you think that women are to celebrate only one day in a year? Are they
not eligible or capable of being celebrated every year by others in this
society, for the work and challenges they face every day and still trying to
run their family and take this society to the next level?
I would like to share a real-life story of one of my friends here.
So far Purnima's father was thinking that Purnima's younger brother will take
of them at their old age. They gave good studies for their son. Their son did post-graduation
and is doing a good business. But Purnima was able to study till the 8th standard.
After her puberty, she was stopped by her grandparents to school when she
was young. Days passed by and she got married to her own uncle's son.
Purnima's initial married life was so good and she delivered 3 babies in a year gap.
After
that, Purnima's husband had a marital affair and started beating her everyday
night with drinking.
Purnima was not bold enough to say this to her parent as they are pretty old
and her brother is also not ready to voice out for her. Days passed by and all
of Purnima's kids got married and they started to live on their own.
But without expecting any property Purnima started taking care of her parents
in a good way. Even Geetha and her elder sister also started taking care of
their grandparents.
Now the old parents realize that girls are affectionate to the family and parents though they get married and go to their husband's home.
They started feeling proud of girl babies now at the age of 80 years.
The girl child is the one who cries for their parents first than others. To
inspire and celebrate the women who come across in our lives every day.
If a woman grows the society will also grow ideally.
Inspire inclusion every day, every minute, and even every second.
